An enjoyable morning out for SANS to the 1860 Heritage Centre (in a 1913 building, Epsom Road Primary School), paying homage to the indentured Indian laborers who where transported to our shores by the British colonial power from 1860 to 1911. We were lead on our tour of the facility by Mr Selvan Naidoo, curator of exhibitions, who offered us a passionate and knowledgeable insight into this cruel time in our country’s past. Also of interest were exhibits of The Struggle in general, with a exhibits of Robben Island and the women of the struggle.
5 stars, highly recommend
