Triumph and Tragedy – Trappist Missions in South Africa – Nicki Von Der Heyde

This field guide to KZN’s 22 Trappist Missions, published in 2018,, is a must for anyone wishing to visit the Missions established by Francis Pfanner and his Trappists.

The book sketches the story of this movement, that started in KZN in the 1880’s, and has the story, images, and directions to each of the Mission Stations. This post also has a review that appeared in the Farmers Weekly.
