Here’s something different for Easter Sunday or Monday.
Many of us enjoy a trip behind the monthly steam hauled trains on Umgeni Steam Railway but both steam locomotives are in the shop for repairs.
This Easter the trains will be hauled by a vintage Diesel-Electric Loco which is actually more of an event than the steamers.
On Easter Sunday 27th March running out of Kloof to Inchanga at 08:30 and again at 12:30 and rumoured to have The Easter Bunny aboard with an inexhaustible supply of Easter Eggs for children, this is a great opportunity for something entertainingly different.
On Easter Monday 28th March the trains leave at the same times of 08:30 and 12:30 but by then the exhausted Easter bunny will have retired for another year.
