Durban’s KwaMuhle Museum was the former offices of the Native Administration Department, but now features displays relating to the Apartheid ” Durban System ” and the struggle for dignity by its citizens, along with other displays reflecting Durban’s urban growth. Included are exhibits of life in Durban during the apartheid era, photography of township life, and contributors to the foundation of Ethekweni’s development.
The Museum is also the meeting place for the South African National Society every second Tuesday of the month at 5.00 pm.
