Umhlanga Rocks, award winning Pier

There are 365 days in each year, however each day can be very different when you visit this award CNN winning structure of architectural beauty. The pier also won the South African National Award for outstanding Civil Engineering Achievements. The 80 meter  long pier built in 2007, is a great place for promenades and photographers to capture its nuances in the changing light. The best time however is just before first light and as the sun rises over the ocean.
