On the 6 March, a group of intrepid SANS members and visitors, ventured into the wild within suburbia, known as Pigeon Valley. This Natural Heritage Park, situated in the heart of Glenwood, encompasses 10 hectares of virgin bush, and is home to roughly 110 species of indigenous trees and countless birds, red and blue duiker, large-spotted Genet, a troop of banded mongooses as well as slender and water mongooses.
