Dear SANS members
With sadness we have to inform our members of the passing of Naureen Craig, former Chairman, President, Honorary Life Vice President and Life Member of our Society.
According to her doctor, she died peacefully in her sleep at approximately 12:15am this morning.
Naureen had just recently turned 90 and was made a Life Member of our Society in recognition of her service to SANS. Her decades of support of SANS has left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her and she will surely be sorely missed by all.
Some time next week there will be an Anglican type service led by Jane, her spiritual counsellor and Anglican priest from St. James’ Church, who recently visited her at Nazareth House. The service will be held at Shanleys funeral home at 15 Cambridge Avenue, Umbilo. We will announce the exact details when they have been arranged.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank those members of the Society who in recent times provided Naureen with company, care and friendship. We also extend our condolences to her daughter Sheila in England, other members of her family, as well as her friends.
